plant babies everywhere

plants of the past. most of these have passed on or been sold to happy homes.  I can't wait to have some spending money soon so I can pot some more beautiful babies.  I am working on keeping them alive for more than a few weeks.

thrifted this baby lamb planter. painted it gold and he has mint green feet.  still have yet to find a potable plant tiny enough for him.

tomatoes my neighbor planted in the spring. they have now overgrown my flamingo friends.

babies ready to be taken to the umbrella market.

pola project

For christmas this year everyone on my list was given these little polaroid magnets. They require very little supplies & can be easy if you don't wait until the last minute to make 100 of them. I got the idea from here ( but dumbed it down a little when I found that I can't cut in a straight line with an xacto knife and was running out of time.
1) download her templete and choose photos to size into the alloted space. (I used instagrams mostly because they were already square.)
2) print on cardstock paper & cut until your hand cramps.
3) peel the backing off of a magnetic sheet found at your local craft store and arrange them so you have enough room to cut around.
and done.
I was afraid they wouldn't turn out that well since I skipped the step of adding some depth with the cardboard but they were cute & I was pleased. If you are my friend this is probably what you will be getting for your birthday so act surprised.
I found these premade boxes at the craft store & personalized them with stamps.

yo ho, yo ho

Every year for the past 7 or 8 years I've gone to DisneyWorld to celebrate MLK Jr. Fitting right? This year was the third year that Nikki joined me & it was Laila's first trip! It was amazing & I'm ready for next year.

Port Orleans Resort
Waiting in line for the tower of terror. I love my cousins, they are hilarious. Jessica, on the far left, is Laila's momma so that makes her amazing in itself. Jo, next to her, is one of the funniest people I know.

get a life.

It would appear that only 3 noteworthy events have occurred in my life over the past two years, but that's not true. I am just lazy & don't know how to blog really. Plus, my only follower is my best friend whose last post was also a year ago. I thought I'd give this another try since it was one of my nye resolutions (1 of 14). I spend the majority of my time on the internet reading about other gal's lives anyway so I thought I might try not being a silent reader anymore.

Here it goes (in no particular order):
nikki and I celebrated our 2 year annivesary in november.

we went on a gorgeous trip to puerto rico with my best bebe and her boyfriend the week before our anniversary.

I moved out to the farm to live with him the summer of 2010 and left a year later to move closer to town. It was the best year of my life and he was the best roommate I'd ever had.

one of my favorite cousins had the cutest baby ever born. laila belle is perfect. we all love her too, too much.

and I moved into my first one bedroom apartment.

so here I am. tired after posting 5 whole pictures. and confused by formatting that won't let me highlight and change font sizes.
